IBCP's Sandra Goded has just published an article entitled, "Deforestation, wildlife trade, and human health," in the popular science journal, Revista Quercus, in Spain. In the article, she discusses how although there has been much speculation about the hypothetical origins of the COVID-19 pandemic from trade in wildlife, including bats and pangolins, there has been little discussion of the devastating consequences of biodiversity loss on the environment and human health.
